Charlotte Bates (2005

Our beautiful little baby girl, Charlotte Rose was born 14 weeks prematurely on April 25, 2005 and was sadly taken from us on May 26, 2005 due to severe pneumonia. She gave so much, but little angels always do. We love her and miss her more than words can ever say. We long to hold our precious and very loved little girl one day. She's our little angel now, and is in the arms of our Lord and our blessed Mother until we can be with her again. Please scroll down to read about Charlotte's rainbow.

~As night falls, stars appear, and
Lovely angels gather here.~

~Angels reflect the magnificence of heaven, the
Spectacular home that God has prepared for all those who belong to him.~

Once upon a time there was a child ready to be born.
So one day the child asked God:
"They tell me you are sending me to earth
tomorrow, but how am I going to live there
being so small and helpless?"
God replied, lovingly,
"Among the many angels, I chose one for you.
She will be waiting for you
and will take care of you"
"But tell me, God, here in Heaven,
I don't do anything else but sing and
smile. That's enough for me to be happy.
Why must I leave?"
"Your angel will sing for you and will also
smile for you every day. And you will feel your
angel's love and be happy."
" And how am I going to be able to understand
when people talk to me, if I don't know the
language that men talk?"
"Your angel will tell you the most beautiful and sweet
words you will ever hear, and with much patience and
care, your angel will teach you how to speak."
"And what am I going to do when I want to talk to you?"
"Your angel will place your hands together
and will teach you how to pray."
"I've heard that on earth there are bad men.
Who will protect me?"
"Your angel will defend you even if it means
risking its life."
"But I will always be sad because I will not see You anymore."
"Your angel will always talk to you about me and
will teach you the way for you to come back to me,
even though I will always be next to you"
At that moment there was much peace in Heaven,
but voices from earth could already be heard,
and the child, in a hurry asked softly: "Oh God, if I am about to leave now, please tell me my angel's name."
"Your angel's name is of no importance at all,
you will call your angel - Mother."

GOD'S LITTLEST ANGEL

Mommy and Daddy don't cry for me.
To walk the earth was not meant to be.
I'm in God's house you see.
I watch over you every day.
I know that you love me in a very special way.
You wanted me to be healthy and whole,
So you had to let me go.
You will get to see me every day
As you look at the children who past your way.

I may be the little boy with the dimple in his chin

O shining Seraphim, of fire and ruby born.
Surround us with the love that burns at early dawn.
O faithful Cherubim, of chariots burning bright,

We also want to remember our second baby who we named Christian who passed away on September 21, 2005 at 8 1/2 weeks gestation. He was very loved and wanted. He now rests with his sister, Charlotte both on earth and in heaven. I know our babies are happily playing together with our Lord and His Mother watching over them until we are able to do so one day. We also would like to announce Charlotte & Christian's little brother Charles Christopher born on August 1st, 2006 at 35 weeks gestational age weighing in at 4lbs.13 oz. He is a healthy little boy! Ironically, this was the day that his big sister, Charlotte Rose was to be born. Surely our little angel was looking out for her little brother on this day. Thank you, dear angel families for all your thoughts and prayers!

Charlotte's Rainbow, September 14, 2005

In September of 2005 our new home was completed and ready to move in. We had built our home for Charlotte's arrival into our expanding family.

Driving towards our new home we had noticed a rainbow from the distance.It was NOT a rainy day, which made this rainbow's appearance all the more mysterious to us. The closer we got to our house the more we questioned why was there a rainbow without any rain in the horizon. Upon pulling up to our home our neighbor's daughters came running up to our car exclaiming "There's a rainbow in your backyard!" Sure enough the rainbow's arch began right outside our backyard fence. I grabbed the camera from my purse and immediately took pictures of this spectacular vision. This was just too coincidental for us to overlook the possible meaning of this beautiful rainbow. We knew that Charlotte was welcoming us home, and let us know in the most beautiful way possible. Thank you, sweetheart. You are and always will be home with us.
